About This Stone

Overview & Character

Absolute Black Granite is quarried from the mineral-rich regions of Telangana, Andhra Pradesh. It is one of the world's most uniformly black granites — a fine-grained, dense igneous rock with near-zero porosity, exceptional hardness and outstanding resistance to heat, scratches and staining.

Its defining characteristic is its consistent, deep jet-black colour with minimal variation and no visible veining. When polished to mirror finish, it achieves a reflective depth that is unmatched by any engineered substitute. Our Absolute Black achieves 100–110 GU gloss-meter readings — among the highest consistently produced by any Indian granite exporter.

Be Selective

Where to Be Cautious

Understanding the stone's limitations ensures the right specification for every project.

  • Outdoor polished use in freeze-thaw climates — use flamed finish for exterior paving instead.
  • Applications requiring light-coloured stone — Absolute Black has no colour variation.
Stone Care

Maintenance

Absolute Black is one of the lowest-maintenance granites available. Clean with a neutral pH stone cleaner and warm water. Avoid acidic cleaners (lemon, vinegar) on polished surfaces. Sealing is recommended every 2–3 years on countertop applications.
