Every Naturaw Stones shipment passes through a rigorous 7-stage production process — from director-selected quarry blocks to sea-worthy packed containers — ensuring zero compromise on quality.
Both directors personally visit quarries in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Orissa, Tamil Nadu to select blocks. We assess colour consistency, structural integrity, grain uniformity and absence of through-cracks before any purchase commitment is made.
We have long-standing direct relationships with quarry owners — no brokers, no intermediaries. This means we can guarantee provenance and negotiate on quality, not just price.
Selected quarry blocks are transported to our processing facility in Khammam where they undergo precision block dressing. Each block is squared and dimensioned to optimal specifications for our 70-wire multiwire gang saw — maximising slab yield and consistency.
We use a 70-wire multiwire gang saw — one of the most advanced slab-cutting technologies available. A single block produces 20 to 70 slabs simultaneously, with exceptional dimensional precision and surface consistency impossible to achieve with older frame-saw technology.
Slab thickness ranges from 1cm to 30cm depending on product type. Standard countertop slabs are 2cm and 3cm. Monument and memorial slabs range from 4cm to 30cm. Custom thickness is available on request with ±1mm tolerance.
Cut slabs pass through our automated polishing line where they receive their specified surface finish. Our mirror polish line achieves a consistent 100–110 GU (gloss units) — among the highest consistently achieved by any Indian granite exporter.
We offer five surface finishes: Mirror Polish (100–110 GU), Honed (matte), Flamed (textured, for outdoor), Leathered and Brushed. Each finish is appropriate for different applications and markets.
Every slab is inspected individually before packing. Our QC process includes: gloss-meter reading (minimum 100 GU), visual inspection under raking light for surface defects, dimensional verification with digital calipers, and face inspection for colour consistency within batch.
Any slab that does not meet our quality specification is rejected from the export batch — regardless of its impact on order volume. We would rather reduce a container's load than compromise on quality.
Slabs are packed in sea-worthy pinewood crates specifically designed for the dimensions and weight of each order. Each slab is separated by foam inter-leaf padding, and crates are steel-strapped and sealed. All crates are fumigated where required for phytosanitary compliance.
Bundles are kept to maximum 3,500kg per unit for safe crane handling at destination. Each crate is clearly marked with our brand, product details and the buyer's reference.
Packed crates are loaded into 20ft containers using C-Clamp loading technology — the safest method for slab transport that eliminates movement during transit. Containers are sealed and dispatched from our nearest FCL port.
We supply FOB (Hyderabad/Chennai/Mumbai/Mundra/Vizag/Tuticorin) or CIF to any major worldwide port. Full documentation is provided within 5 working days of container departure.
Standard specifications for our four main product types. Custom dimensions available on request.
Quality at Naturaw Stones is not a final inspection step — it is built into the production process at every stage. At block intake, each block is assessed for structural integrity, colour consistency and yield before it is accepted into production. During cutting, the gang saw operator monitors each slab for thickness consistency and structural anomalies. The polishing line operates through eight progressive abrasive stages, from coarse grinding through to final polishing compound.
Every batch of polished slabs is measured with a calibrated digital gloss meter before leaving the Dulam Rocks manufacturing unit in Khammam. We record the results for each batch and include the certificate with your shipment documents. Our minimum standard for polished black granite is 100 GU — our actual average is typically 105–110 GU.
For memorial cut-to-size pieces, we use C-Clamp steel frame methodology — the industry standard for precise, high-value cut stone. Each frame layer is photographed before the next is added. For gangsaw slab shipments, A-frame wooden crates are loaded and secured to the container floor with lashing straps rated to a multiple of the crate weight.
All wooden packing material carries ISPM 15 fumigation certification as standard. Polyethylene foam interleaving is used between every slab to prevent surface contact during transit. We photograph the packed container before sealing as both a record and for buyer review prior to departure.
