The Complete Manufacturing Journey

Every granite order passes through seven precision-controlled stages. Here is exactly what happens to your stone — from the moment it is extracted from the earth to the moment it is sealed in a container bound for your destination port.

1
⛏️
Stage 01 — Origin
Quarry Extraction

The journey begins deep in India's granite belts — Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu. Using controlled diamond wire saws and precision drilling, massive granite blocks are carefully separated from the mountain face. Our directors personally visit quarries to hand-select every block.

Diamond Wire Saw Hydraulic Drills Excavators & Cranes
  • Diamond wire saw cutting for clean block faces
  • Controlled drilling and wedging techniques
  • Max block size: 3.6m × 2.2m × 2.2m
  • Director hand-selection at quarry face
  • Visual inspection: cracks, voids, colour consistency
  • Only defect-free blocks accepted for processing

Stage 02 — Preparation
Block Dressing & Grading

Raw blocks arrive at the processing yard where they are measured, trimmed, and graded for quality. Rough surfaces are dressed to fully reveal the true colour and character of the stone. Blocks are sorted by colour consistency, grain structure, and dimensions before cutting begins.

Block Trimmer Surface Dresser Overhead Crane
  • Block measurement and volumetric grading
  • Surface dressing to expose true stone colour
  • Crack and fissure detection throughout block
  • Grade A / Grade B / Commercial sorting
  • Only Grade A blocks proceed to multiwire cutting
  • Rejected blocks diverted to smaller processing

Stage 03 — Primary Cutting
Multiwire Machine Block Cutting

The graded block enters our 70-Wire Multiwire Machine — one of the most advanced block-cutting machines in the granite industry. Equipped with 70 diamond-coated steel wires running at high speed simultaneously, it slices an entire granite block into uniform slabs in a single automated cycle. Unlike older gang saws, the 70-wire multiwire delivers exceptional slab flatness, minimal kerf waste, and precise thickness control across a wide range — making it ideal for both standard and custom slab orders.

70-Wire Diamond Machine CNC Controlled Water Cooling System
  • 70 diamond-coated wires cut the entire block simultaneously
  • Slab thickness range: 20mm to 300mm — fully customisable
  • Yields 20 to 70 slabs per block depending on thickness
  • Superior slab flatness vs. traditional gang saw
  • Minimal kerf = less material waste per block
  • Continuous water cooling prevents heat stress damage

Stage 04 — Surface Finishing
Polishing & Surface Treatment

Cut slabs pass through automated polishing and finishing lines. A sequence of abrasive heads — from coarse grinding to ultra-fine buffing — creates the required surface finish. All finishes are available and are tailored precisely to each customer's order specification.

Auto Polishing Line Diamond Abrasives Flame Torch Unit
  • Polished — Mirror-bright, enhances colour depth
  • Honed — Matte, smooth finish for interior floors
  • Flamed — Rough, anti-slip for outdoor use
  • Leathered — Textured, natural look for countertops
  • Bush-Hammered — Industrial, heavily textured
  • Custom finishes available on request

Stage 05 — Quality Control
Director Personal Inspection

Every finished slab is personally inspected by our directors before it is approved for packing. This is Naturaw Stones' defining commitment — no shortcuts, no delegation. Human eyes and 15+ years of experience ensure zero defective slabs leave our facility. Rejected pieces are never shipped.

Director Oversight Calibration Check Photo Documentation
  • Visual inspection: colour match and tone consistency
  • Structural check: hairline cracks and fissures
  • Dimension verification against customer order
  • Finish quality and uniformity assessment
  • Corner and edge chip inspection
  • Photography of every approved bundle

Stage 06 — Export Packing
Wooden Crates & Export Boxes

Approved slabs are carefully packed into purpose-built sea-worthy wooden crates and export boxes. Each crate is engineered to withstand ocean freight — protecting stone from moisture, vibration, and mechanical shock. Foam inter-leaf padding between every slab prevents surface scratching and edge chipping in transit.

Sea-Worthy Wood Crates Export Boxes Foam Inter-leaf Steel Strapping
  • Foam inter-leaf protection between every slab
  • Sea-worthy hardwood crate construction
  • Export wooden boxes for cut-to-size and tiles
  • Moisture-proof wax paper outer wrapping
  • Heavy-duty steel strapping for bundle security
  • Crate markings: weight, count, dimensions, destination

Stage 07 — Dispatch
C-Clamp Loading & Container Dispatch

Packed slab bundles are loaded into 20ft or 40ft containers using C-Clamp lifting equipment — the industry-standard method for safe, damage-free loading of granite bundles. C-Clamps grip the bundle securely without surface contact, preventing any edge damage during the lift and container stuffing process. Full export documentation is prepared for customs clearance at your destination.

C-Clamp Loading 20ft / 40ft Container FOB / CIF Docs
  • C-Clamp lifting for safe, damage-free bundle loading
  • 20ft and 40ft container options (FCL or LCL)
  • Wooden dunnage floor protection inside container
  • Lashing and bracing to prevent in-transit movement
  • Commercial invoice, packing list prepared
  • Bill of lading and certificate of origin issued
  • FOB or CIF — any destination port worldwide

Our Equipment

Key Machinery at
Every Production Stage

Our processing facilities run precision industrial machinery built for granite — delivering speed, accuracy, and consistency from raw block to finished slab.

💎
Diamond Wire Saw
Quarry Extraction
Diamond-tipped wire saw for precision quarry extraction. Creates clean, crack-free cuts through the hardest granite. Essential for separating large blocks from the quarry face without structural damage.
⚙️
Multiwire Machine
Block Cutting — Primary Stage
Our 70-wire diamond multiwire machine slices entire granite blocks simultaneously. Slab thickness range: 20mm to 300mm, yielding 20 to 70 slabs per block. Delivers superior flatness, minimal kerf waste, and precise thickness control — our primary block-to-slab cutting machine.
Auto Polishing Line
Surface Finishing
Multi-head automated polishing machine processes slabs through a sequence from 36 grit grinding to 3000 grit mirror finish. Delivers consistent, uniform polish across the full slab surface with no hand-polishing inconsistencies.
🔥
Flame Texturing Unit
Flamed Finish Production
High-temperature propane torch unit creates the characteristic rough, anti-slip flamed surface finish for outdoor paving, pool surrounds and commercial flooring. Produces consistent texture depth across the slab.

Purpose-built wooden crates and export boxes constructed on-site to exact order dimensions. Sea-worthy hardwood construction withstands ocean freight. Foam padding, wax paper, and steel strapping applied to every bundle before dispatch.
Quality Assurance

Our Zero-Compromise
Quality Standard

Quality at Naturaw Stones is built into every stage — not checked at the end. Our directors' personal involvement is our most powerful quality control mechanism.

01
Quarry-Level Block Selection
Directors personally select blocks at the quarry face, rejecting any with visible cracks, colour inconsistencies, or structural weakness before they enter the processing chain.
02
Post-Cut Slab Inspection
Every slab is examined after multiwire cutting for hairline cracks, warping, and thickness consistency. Substandard slabs are removed before finishing begins — never after.
03
Finish & Colour Matching
Finished slabs are colour-matched within each bundle. Slabs deviating from the agreed tone or finish standard are replaced, ensuring batch consistency across multiple bundles in your shipment.
04
Pre-Packing Final Check
A final check on every approved slab before it enters the crate. Dimensions verified, corners checked for chips, surface inspected for handling damage. Full photo records maintained for every shipment.
